Here are some frequently asked questions about my real estate, property and architecture photography video and design services, and some answers. If you have a question that I've not covered here, please contact me - I'd love to hear from you.
The options are confusing me
We understand. We provide you with more options than any real estate marketing professional in our area, so it's no surprise that as you go down the rabbit hole, things can seem a bit confusing. We're here to help. Let us know what you want from your new approach to property marketing and we'll have examples to show you, and help you carefully understand the benefits of each service we offer. Don't worry - trying to keep up with the latest technologies can even confuse us sometimes.
How can I pay you?
I accept payments through PayPal, online bank transfers, most major credit cards, and I can also accept cash or cheque in person.
What is the typical turnaround time for your services?
Photos can always turn around in 24 hours or less. The more add-on services per property, the longer it may take to deliver. A very full package of options for a very large house would take a maximum of 3 days to deliver.
Do you stage the property before you shoot it?
No, I do not stage properties. It is recommended that you have a property staged, or at the very least, tidied, before I arrive. I may make a few small suggestions when I arrive to help it show even better, but it's best to be ready on my arrival. You can visit the 'staging' page of my website for some helpful tips.
How long do you need inside the property to shoot it?
It depends on the workload and the size of a property. If I am just doing photos and it's an average size house of 2000 square feet or less, then I can shoot them in one hour. A video walk through will add on about one hour. Measuring a floor plan will add on about forty minutes on-site.
Do you use AI or Machine Learning Techniques?
Yes! In order to provide the level of consistency we strive for - I've personally developed customized AI and Machine Learning workflows for all aspects of my business in order to better serve my clients, faster, more consistently and with a higher quality product. Do I get branded or unbranded copies of your work?
I can deliver both upon your request. If you provide me with a watermark or any other contact information you'd like visually embedded in your media that can be arranged at no additional cost.
Can you help me implement 3D and Virtual Panoramas on my existing website?
Yes, I can help bring new features to your website that work seamlessly with the website your developer or web master has already produced.
Where can I use your images?
You can use my images anywhere you want that is related to the property. I provide them under an unlimited, non-transferrable license to make it easy for you and hassle free. I ask that you do not use images repeatedly for alternate properties, and that you do not use my property images for the marketing of your business.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I have a wide range of professional equipment to use and it depends on the specific workload for a property. Take a look at the equipment page for more specific details about how I accomplish each project.
What are your travel fees?
Travel is included in the area surrounding Collingwood, Ontario. There is nominal travel fee for areas more than a half hour outside of Collingwood, but that can be waived if you have more than one property for me to photo/video/measure in the same day. I will travel further on request and schedule dependent, including Toronto, Oakville, Niagara, etc.
Do you outsource any of your work?
Generally as absolutely little as possible. There are a few exceptions. And up until a year or two ago the answer to that same question was a firm NO! However, with demand on our operational resources, some tasks have been offloaded to reliable professionals. Second shooters have all been trained extensively to shoot and achieve the most remarkably similar results to what i create myself for the average photoshoot. All photo editors have been personally trained and educated on our specific workflows for desired effects as well. Floor planning services on certain projects are sourced out to the most accurate and reliable providers I could find, and are generally used in my process only to facilitate the timeline demands of whatever your deadline - I might need 2 or 3 days to complete the drafting on a floor plan, however iGuide is reliably ready the next morning - perfect for those snap decisions to list a home!
What is your pricing scheme like?
It is easy to understand, easy to budget for and flat rate for almost all services. I also provide significant savings for specific 'package deals'. Please take a look at the rates and pricing page for more specific details.
Is there any cancellation fees?
Everyone's schedule can change and I understand that. I appreciate 24 hours notice to cancel a shoot. There are no fees if you cancel a shoot before 24 hours.
Do you require a deposit?
I do not normally ask for a deposit for this type of work. Larger projects than a typically property marketing package, and ongoing arrangements may necessitate a deposit however.
How do you create 3D Interactive Floorplans?
I measure every dimension within a property and sketch it out on paper while recording those dimensions, and then translate those measurements into specialized 3D rendering software to build accurate, and to-scale models of homes. Please see the 3D floorplan information page for more specifics.
How do you create Virtual Panoramas
I capture 360° panoramas by shooting a number of photos in a specialized method and then 'stitch' them together into a seamless image using specialized software. Then I will convert them into a multimedia format and discuss with my client how we are to display them which decides the exact format and method of uploading and embedding. What about Matterport Camera Platforms?
Myself and my camera operators are familiar and experienced with the Matterport Platform. Do you require Matterport tours? Do you have your own Matterport Camera System? We'd love to help you out! Please see more information on Matterport Platform Options
Is this what you do full-time?
Yes. My entire body of work involves photography, video, and graphic/media design. It is not strictly real estate, as some seasons are slower for real estate work than others, so I fill that time with other related endeavours. I am a digital media professional through and through. I also photograph quite a few weddings every summer.
